She wears the veil so much more now, due to how the accident made everyone around her see her as a nightmare come true. She will no longer make public appearances due to her disfigured face. 

She is both death and blind on her right side of her face.

It takes a lot of her unicorn magic to maintain her disguise due to her disfigurement, since it was made by magic. She uses her disguise as a way to escape the frightened looks she once would get and now every time someone sees her face they smile back at her. 

She suffered with alopecia areata for a small while due to the stress of loosing half her face and the recovery in the hospital. The therapies where meant to help treat it as well as other things. 

History: 
Oldest of all the royal children she became one of the best babysitters/cousins in the world, told by her cousins when she'd give them sweet treats and playing with them. She was trained by all the royals; Aunt Luna and Celestia and their husbands; Uncle Sombra and Atlas(even though he was very distant in a literal and figurative sense) as well as Sunburst, Tempest and her Aunt Twilight Sparkle. She was trained for combat; though she had no interest in any of it. Strategy to organise armies and to quickly diffuse any situation, How to act within the public and how to act in front of other 'high' ranking ponies. She had a lot of training. And the most important part how to run a her kingdom to be, along side her mother.

When she was allowed to go into Canterlot with her cousins, under a disguise, the worse thing happened. She was attacked by a hooded stallion, she couldn't make out his face or his coat so finding the perpetrator was impossible.When she was attack she was about to re-enter the passage way, the one used by 'commoner' ponies to seek an audience with the Queens, Flurry had dropped her disguise in confidence and that's when she half of her face became unusable. 
She wasn't found until early in the morning, the next day by a young Elias and his father Flash Sentry with a couple of other guards (bring your son's to work day). She was close to death when she was found by, a now traumatized, Elias. Flurry was whisked away quickly by Silver Wind, a guard on patrol with Flash at the time. 
Flurry made a slow and worrying recovering. Flash was at her side constantly, if he wasn't distracted by his duties, if he wasn't there her mother was there at night and her cousins was there. They distracted her when she was awake from the pain and made her smile, she got the widest smiles when the Luna twins where there at her side.

Months turned into a year, at that time she began several different therapies. That worked for 3 months then she began to avoid them finding them useless and nothing would prepare the ponies of the public of what their beautiful Flurry Heart had become.
